Birch Wood (Betula)

A light-colored, fine-grained hardwood widely used in manufacturing ice cream sticks and food tools due to its smooth texture, strength, and lack of odor or taste.

moisture content

Moisture content is the percentage of the weight of water in wood products to the weight of the wood after being completely dried. It is a key factor determining the intrinsic quality of wood products and directly affects their dimensional stability, strength and durability.

Food-Grade / Food-Safe

A standard indicating that the material is safe for direct contact with food and human consumption, strictly free from toxic chemicals, heavy metals, and harmful dyes.

Biodegradable

The ability of a material to break down and decompose naturally by microorganisms (like bacteria and fungi) into harmless elements, making it environmentally friendly.

FSC Certification (Forest Stewardship Council)

An internationally recognized certification ensuring that the wood used comes from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits.

Hot Stamping (Thermal Printing)

A branding process where a heated die transfers ink or foil onto the wooden surface. It is a popular, cost-effective method for adding custom logos to ice cream sticks.

Laser Engraving

A precise, chemical-free branding method that uses a laser beam to burn a logo or text directly into the wood, resulting in a permanent, premium look.

Splinter-Free

A quality standard for wooden products indicating that the surface has been meticulously milled, tumbled, and polished to remove all sharp wood fibers, ensuring safe use.

Chamfering / Beveled Edge

The manufacturing process of smoothing, rounding, or angling the sharp edges of a wooden stick to enhance safety, comfort, and aesthetic appeal.

Kiln Drying

A controlled process of drying raw wood in a specialized oven (kiln) to achieve an optimal moisture content (usually around 8-12%). This prevents the wood from warping, cracking, or developing mold.

Tolerance

The permissible limit of variation in a physical dimension (such as length, width, or thickness). High-quality ice cream sticks require strict tolerances to function smoothly in automated manufacturing machines.

OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer)

A service where we manufacture products according to your specific design, size, and packaging requirements, allowing you to sell them under your own brand name.

MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity)

The lowest number of units a supplier is willing to produce or sell in a single order, often varying based on whether the product is standard or customized.
